A ZIMBABWEAN food show is to be launched on DStv's Honey Channel, and a call has been made for Zimbabwean foodies to bid to be the presenter of the series.

Liz Dziva, publicity and public relations manager of MultiChoice Zimbabwe, said the show would be called My Zim Plate.

'It is in the style of existing series on Honey Channel such as My Naija Plate, My Kenyan Plate and My Zambian Plate, and will platform to the rest of the continent unique features of our own cuisine,' she said.

Food experts and enthusiasts who would like to audition to be a presenter should create a captivating one-minute video, explaining how to prepare their favourite Zimbabwean dish.

“In one minute they should sell themselves and come across as the right person for this exciting role,” said Dziva.

Audition videos should be sent via WhatsApp on 064 602 1342 or email honeycastings@media24.com

Deadline for submission is October 7.

“It’s an exciting concept and a chance for someone to platform our cuisine to the whole continent so let's hope for a big response from foodies.”
