FOR youthful author-cum-motivational speaker Marshal Chiza, getting a reward for leadership and inspiration wasn’t a fluke, but something of intrinsic value.

Chiza recently received a gong for Leadership and Inspiration at the Gumiguru Achiever’s Awards held in Harare.

Gumiguru is a training and consulting company that has over the years helped and honoured young entrepreneurs who do outstanding work.

“This award is one of my many achievements I have received in my career and I am not stopping there,” said Chiza.

“The award is an honour to me as a young aspiring businessman as well as success and motivational speaker.”

Chiza is the author of motivational books Success in No Time, Poor Billionaire, Before I Become a Billionaire and the yet-to-be released Dear Emmerson, a persuasive account of President Emmerson Mnangagwa as he trails his journey as Zimbabwe’s second president.

At the age of 23, he has many jackets, a CEO of Billionaire Publishers and CEO of Billionaire Borehole Drilling.

“As young people, we have to be part of the development of the country and drive the economy, hence my involvement in all these areas,” Chiza said.

“I am also the founder of Poor Billionaire Foundation, a platform that I use to further my philanthropic work to cater for underprivileged children.”

Notably, as if second nature to him, he is also a motivational speaker and success coach.

Chiza claims lately he has being invited to a number of countries to inspire young people on how he became a “billionaire”.

“Lately, I have been getting invitations from many countries where I am supposed to do motivational talk events, where some wanted to know how I made a billion dollars,” the Nketa 9 born publisher said.

“Chiza is a billionaire that never was. A lot of people think I’m a billionaire, but they don’t believe me when I tell them that I am not a billionaire.

“One of the most awkward moments for me was when I was invited for a three-day motivational talk event in Zambia and the first topic I was given was ‘How I made my first million’.

“Since I had been paid, I spoke accordingly although I knew that I did not have all that money. They say fake it till you make it, but now I face it, till I make it.

“I might not be a billionaire as yet, but I’m closer than I was yesterday. You have to believe in yourself even when no one believes in you, that is the first key of becoming successful.”
