A GWANDA man has been jailed 20 years for raping and impregnating his daughter, aged 15.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe, the accused person was convicted at the Gwanda Magistrates Court.
In February 2024, the accused person took advantage of his wife’s absence to rape his daughter who was sleeping in a room with her siblings, aged 11.
The complainant did not disclose the matter to anyone.
The matter came to light when the police were tipped that the complainant was pregnant.
Investigations led to the arrest of the accused person.
