A holder of a Bachelor of Accounting Science, Chengetai is an accountant and business growth strategist whose journey transcends numbers and financial statements. Her role has been to assist companies and navigate critical areas that help them grow and branch out in their respective industries. She finds pleasure in helping staff reach their maximum potential.
Chengetai’s meticulous eye for detail and knack for numbers have elevated her consulting work to become a trusted advisor to businesses seeking to optimise their performance. Her work ethic, determination and commitment to excellence in male-dominated work environments classifies her as a worthy role model for young professionals across the country.
Having completed her articles of clerkship with Ernest and Young back in 2010 she has over the years consulted for and worked with several reputable institutions including Lighthouse Print and SAPES Trust just to name but a few.
Chengetai is one energetic young professional whose influence reaches far beyond boardrooms. She has a solid track-record demonstrating her passion and desire in making a difference in the lives of children, teens, and young adults. Through various community-based projects, she channels her energy into creating positive change.
In her pursuit to impact her community, she has played a pivotal voluntary and contributory role in uplifting organisations such as Muranzi Trust, Emerald Hill Children’s Home and rendering assistance to both child-headed families and individuals.
As a member of Junior Chamber International (JCI), Chengetai connects with like-minded individuals who share her passion for community development. The youthful organisation has four areas anchored around opportunity business and entrepreneurship, individual development, community action, and international cooperation align perfectly with her values. Through JCI, she has been initiating projects that benefit marginalised groups hence leaving a lasting impact on the respective communities she serve.
She recently told the Standard Style that she firmly believes that the future lies in the zeal and efforts of the younger generation.

She further explains that working with the youths is important to her because it’s nurturing the future and leaving a legacy that will benefit the nation.
“Empowering the next generation is crucial for our future”, stated Chengetai.
She added that the youths are the torchbearers and the custodians of the future.
Recent statistics placed Zimbabwe’s youth population at close to 70%–an overwhelming indicator that the youth are pivotal in spurring the country’s economic growth.
“I believe that by investing in our youth, we can create a brighter future for all.”
Chengetai’s track-record of servitude is a testament to the fact that besides her drive to succeed, she’s also a team player having recently made Zimbabwe proud by participating at the JCI Africa and Middle East Conference debate competitions in Kigali, Rwanda where JCI Zimbabwe emerged victorious and set the bar high for other African countries.
The Africa and Middle East Conference (AMEC) was hosted by JCI Rwanda at the Kigali Conference Centre. AMEC is a platform exchange of ideas, business opportunities, training and networking. The theme was ‘’Building Tomorrow’s Leaders’–a topical subject Gonzo has always been passionate about.
Regarding her experience at the recent JCI conference, an ecstatic Chengetai indicated that they were looking forward to the World Congress which will be hosted in Taiwan.
“As the Africa and Middle East Champions, JCI Zimbabwe Debate team will be proceeding to participate in the World Congress in Taoyuan, Taiwan later in the year”.
It is the late American lawyer and writer Robert Ingersol who once observed “we rise by lifting each other” and Chengetai’s quest for community impact validates this observation.
