Rapper and singer Cassper Nyovest and NaaqMusik who are scheduled for a boxing match on April 9 at Sun City in South Africa will face off much earlier in Zimbabwe.

The duo will share the stage at the Hockey Stadium in Bulawayo in a show that will also be graced by Amapiano/kwaito duo of Amaroto comprising Reece Madlisa and Zuma.

The South Africans will be supported by locals, King 98, POY and 3D Family wheel spinners.

The fight between Nyovest and NaaqMusiq was confirmed days after Nyovest defeated Slik Talk in a match dubbed Clout Vs Fame.

Both camps are taking the fight seriously as they have dedicated time for training and getting themselves ready for April 9.

Mduduzi Mdlongwa, one of the organisers of today’s event said they were looking forward to a fun-filled day.

“We are bringing variety to Bulawayo and to have different sounds and energies on the same stage is what we want,” Mdlongwa said.

The tickets for the sold-out fight admits to the battle, get together, and pool party. It’s a three-day night stay at Sun City and furthermore incorporates the weigh-in and winners circle party after the match.

It has been a hive of activity in Bulawayo in January and February, the opening months of the year, which are regarded as the resting months.

Bulawayo hosted DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, Young Stanna, DJ Zandimaz, among others.

“Bulawayo is an arts hub and it appreciates the arts hence we keep on bringing the good vibes to the people. These artists are coming through popular demand,” Mdlongwa said.
