The Corporate Social Responsibility Network Zimbabwe (CSR Network) in partnership with Environmental Management Agency (EMA) will on November 26 host the national Responsible Business & CSR Awards 2021 in Harare.
The awards ceremony to be held at the Rainbow Towers will run under the theme Celebrating sustainability excellence: Towards achieving vision 2030.
According to the organisers, the awards are meant to celebrate and appreciate those who have been exemplary in best practice of sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
“Winners are mobilised from diverse sectors and industries which have created positive impact towards the country’s sustainable development and the promotion of the government’s vision and the UNDP Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of 2030,” said CSR Network Zimbabwe director Willard Razawo.
“The awards would be given to companies that are positively impacting their stakeholders, the lives of communities in which they operate as well as the environments in which they operate in the country.”
Razawo said provincial awards ceremonies have now been completed and all is now set for the national event.
“We are getting top five winners from each province, who would battle for honours at national level,” he said.

Environment, Climate Change, Tourism and Hospitality Industry minister Mangaliso Ndlovu will be the guest of honour at the event that would be attended by people drawn from various sectors of the economy, including Harare Provincial Affairs minister Oliver Chidawu.
Razawo said the awards were coming at an opportune time when the country was pursuing the devolution agenda where there is need to create regional or provincial sustainable economics that feed into the national economy.
