Speaking to Standardsport at Belgravia Sports Club, the academy’s director Bheki Nyoni said they had discovered that diet has been the undoing factor to most aspiring footballer.

“We have discovered that some players lose the whole cause of becoming great footballers at tender ages due to lack of good dieting. Therefore, we are going to engage the services of a professional doctor who will address both players and parents. We have seen players being banned from sporting for various reasons while others take food which is not advisable for sportspersons,” Nyoni said.

Holiday action continues at BN Academy with a week-long clinic set to begin on Monday.

“We are now ready to hold our last training clinic before schools open. We therefore encourage parents to keep on supporting us. Wehave been doing well in the junior categories. Last week our Under 13 played Dynamos and we managed to hold on to a 1-1 draw.”
