Sheasham out to rectify shortcomings

Sport
SHEASHAM gaffer John Nyikadzino

SHEASHAM gaffer John Nyikadzino is confident his men will put behind bad memories of their mauling by giants Dynamos in a topflight  league match last week when they host Yadah at Mandava Stadium.

The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League newbies are yet to win or score after two fixtures.

First, they drew 0-0 with Chicken Inn before they were put to the guillotine by Dynamos in a 4-0 drubbing on Sunday.

“We are focused on the game. We expect a tough match but we are prepared for Yadah,” Nyikadzino said.

The Construction Boys have been blunt in front of goal, a worrisome factor ahead of a series of unforgiving fixtures.

They have conceded the most goals in one game so far this season, which puts them under pressure to tighten their defence.

Defender Zivanai Chikwenhere scored two own goals in the 4-0 drubbing by DeMbare.

Yadah on the other hand will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways after losing 2-1 at the hands of Hwange. After the weekend, Sheasham date fellow newcomers, Hwange and Green Fuel.
