As part of the tour, Mtukudzi will share the stage with Alick Macheso in the UK next month in what has been termed the Summer Splash Golden Tour.
The music giants will perform in London on July 6 at Oasis Banqueting Suite and on July 7 at Athena in Leicester.
Their fans in the UK had gone for many years without seeing the duo in action and the tour should be a big event, especially for Zimbabweans in that country.
At the farewell show, Mtukudzi will perform with Sulumani Chimbetu, Jah Prayzah and Diana Samkange.
Mtukudzi has been on an outreach mission for the past three months that saw him staging shows in various venues across the capital in addition to touring small towns in the country.
When he returns, his major show would be his birthday ceremony to be held in Norton in September.
Organisers of the farewell show said they would do their best to ensure the music icon gets a great send-off.
“We found it fit to say goodbye to our music icon in a special way. A three-month tour is not an easy task and we want to wish him well as he travels on this busy schedule,” said one of the organisers.
