Gospel singer Mlalazi heads to Nigeria

Everton Mlalazi

BARELY three months after his performance at the two-day FNB WOW Festival in Lusaka, Zambia, award-winning gospel musician, Everton Mlalazi will this Sunday stage his maiden performance in Lagos, Nigeria.

Mlalazi — who frontlines The Vine Choir — continues to attract regional attention, which is affording him the opportunity to share the stage with international acts, while also taking his music across the borders.

Mlalazi has been invited to be part of top global performers at multi-award-winning Nigerian gospel singer Sinach’s Christmas concert set for December 11 at Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, Nigeria.

He is expected to leave tomorrow ahead of Sunday’s concert.

Mlalazi is billed to share the stage with award-winning gospel artistes such as Todd Dulaney and Da’dra Great House from the United States, Adlan Cruz (Puerto Rico), Ayo Vincent (Nigeria), Onyeka Onwenu (Nigeria), Ebenezer Obey, Chris Shalom, Joe Praize, Frank Edwards and the phenomenal Gosgem Choir.

The soft-spoken Mlalazi last week took to his official Facebook page to celebrate the milestone of being part of the performers at the concert.

“We are headed to west Africa for an amazing experience. The Christmas concert with @therealsinach and friends will be an amazing time. If you are in those parts, let us make a date. Jingle bells will jingle indeed,” he posted.

Writing on her website, Sinach said: “It is the holiday season and Christmas is around the corner! What an amazing year it has been and we want to round it up by celebrating the goodness of God and the gift that is our Lord Jesus Christ.

“I am excited to announce The Christmas Concert with Sinach and Friends, this year it will be taking place on December 11, at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos, Nigeria. This year’s event is titled The Love Feast.”

She added: “It will be showcasing several of your favourite and anointed gospel ministers in worship, praise, dance, drama and wholesome family-oriented entertainment, and don’t forget the giveaways. I look forward to seeing you… save the date.”

With a career spanning over 25 years, Sinach is a household name around the world for her music that has ministered to millions of people across the globe bringing healing, hope, encouragement and strengthening their faith.

So far, she has recorded good albums and still serves as an international worship leader serving in her church, Christ Embassy (Loveworld).

She has composed some of the most sought-after songs such as Way Maker, I Know Who I Am, The Name of Jesus, Rejoice, There’s an Overflow, Simply Devoted and over 200 others which have become anthems in many churches and homes around the world.
