Jah Prayzah teases fans with Sarungano

MULTI-AWARD-WINING singer Jah Prayzah has given his fans a sample of what his forthcoming album Chiremerera will taste like after the release of the first single Sarungano which features songstress Feli Nandi.

The song’s accompanying video, which was dropped on Monday, garnered more than 250 000 views in less than 24 hours on YouTube.

The Kutonga Kwaro hitmaker will on Friday launch his latest album Chiremerera at Old Hararians Sports Club in Harare before travelling to Bulawayo for the launch of Maita Baba, his second Afro-pop album.

The Sarungano video, which was directed by award-winning director Vusa Blaqs, was set in South Africa and depicts a sad love story which sees a peasant couple’s emerging love being cut short by their jealousy master.

Feli Nandi comes in with beautiful melodies that match Jah Prayzah as well as his energy.

“We are launching two albums — Chiremerera, a traditional album and Maita Baba, which is an Afropop album. This way, we have everything for everyone. We are ready for the launch and tickets are now available for those who want to buy in advance,” Jah Prayzah said.

“I urge people to come in their numbers for both launches because we are not making a show on those nights, but we are creating moments that will live forever in your hearts.”

Jah Prayzah’s last album Gwara was released about two years ago.
