BET channel brings Queendom to viewers

After the launch on April 22, the drama will be broadcast Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm and repeated at 9.30pm.

DSTV’S BET channel is set to launch a new unscripted daily sizzling drama titled Queendom that is already creating a social media frenzy.

After the launch on April 22, the drama will be broadcast Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm and repeated at 9.30pm.

MultiChoice Zimbabwe head corporate affairs and public relations Charity Njanji said the drama will provide viewers with an exciting new series in which two worlds collide, weaving together the contrasting landscapes of the mountainous Khahlamba Kingdom and the vibrant South African township of Tsakane.

“We know that the star, Linda Mtoba, will play fearless protagonist Ntandokayise Mthobeni, a strong character who spearheads a story line showing real-life challenges faced by everyday South Africans, offering a poignant reflection on the country’s history and roots,” she said.

“Audiences across Africa are already showing excitement about her and the rest of the strong cast who will drive the sensational stories of Queendom. The challenges faced by monarchies in Africa will be a key feature of the storyline.”

Njanji said in addition to the two screenings each weekday night, Queendom will also be featured in a weekend omnibus edition at 4.30pm on Sundays and as well as being broadcast on BET.

It will also be available on DStv Catch Up and DStv Stream.
