The couple is said to have been married for the past 13 years but started staying in separate houses after becoming estranged.

A BULAWAYO man, accused of breaching a Protection Order, was acquitted of the charges at the close of the State’s case last week.

Pepukai Manyewe (44) had denied the charge of emotionally, physically, spiritually and verbally abusing his wife Nyarai Mhakure when he appeared before magistrate Tinashe Ndokera.

The couple is said to have been married for the past 13 years but started staying in separate houses after becoming estranged.

Magistrate Ndokera found Manyewe not guilty and acquitted him for lack of evidence after his estranged wife failed to corroborate the allegations and her only witness, the housekeeper, failed to appear in court.
