A Harare woman dragged her daughter to court accusing her of stealing money that tenants pay, leaving her with nothing.
Sonia Sibanda told Harare magistrate Nyasha Marufu on Friday that her daughter, Sindi, was selfish.
"She is my daughter, but I do not understand why she wants to see me suffer,” she said.
“We used to stay together, but she later relocated to Madokero estate.
“Ever since she moved away she has been coming back to collect money from our tenants leaving me with little money or nothing at times.”
Sindi denied the charges saying she was collecting money from the tenants to pay for her mother’s hospital bills.
“Her problem is that she wants to have all the money from the tenants yet she does not pay other utilities,” she added.
Marufu told both parties to seek legal advice on which court to approach.
