Divine Insight: Paying the price

BIBLE

“Nothing comes for free” is a commonly used saying which means nothing can be achieved without hard work. Genesis 2:5 (KJV) And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew:

for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. The prerequisite for God to cause the plants to grow on earth was that there had to be a man to till the ground. Without anyone to till the ground, all the things God had made would have remained in the spirit.

God needed a man to work. Nothing manifests without work because this is a law which God instituted when he created the world. Whatever you want in life has a price tag to it and for one to receive it they have to pay a price.

There is nothing for free because even those things that seem to be free, there is always a hidden price that has to be paid. What price are you willing to pay to succeed and become all that you are called to be? How many hours are you willing to invest into that business or that project for it to become what you envision, how much work are you prepared to do?

When olive trees are planted, they usually start yielding their first fruits in the fifth year. So, imagine even after God had spoken the Word he waited for man to be formed so that man could till the land. We may not have details on how man was to till the ground but from the Bible we gather information that the same way we till is the same way Adam would also till the ground. The difference could be that the ground was not yet cursed. So, after God put man into the garden, Adam had to till the ground and wait for each of the trees in different seasons to bear fruits. So, you can imagine that he had to wait years before he could see the first fruit from the olive trees. Maybe because there was no resistance because of the curse, so it took less time. But still the Bible indicates that there would be a season for planting and another one for harvest. So, he had to wait until he could see the fruits. The creation story does not give us dates before Adam sinned so we don’t know how long it took for the garden to have fruit for the first time but the details we have is that God needed someone to till the ground.

In the same way God still needs someone to till the ground, he needs you to work in order for his plans to fully manifest. Even that business you have, it needs you to pay a price. Remember I said each and everything has a price tag stuck to it. When you learn this principle, you become a master in life because your eyes are open to see the cost of every endeavour you have. Even rest also has a price because for one to have rest they have a task that they would have accomplished before geeting time to rest. Nothing comes for free is not just a a wise saying, but a truth which the wise have mastered. Any level you want to reach, you need to discover the price and pay it. Even Apostle Paul said if you want to eat you have to work. Knowing the price allows you not to be frustrated because you know the cost. Not all prices are given monetary value.  The costs vary and the methods of payment are different. What is the price of that vision you have and are you willing to pay it?

God Bless You.
