Throughout history, nations that honored their priestly systems experienced stability and prosperity, while those that neglected them suffered great losses. The Bible presents clear examples of the role of priests and how their position influences the spiritual and economic well-being of a nation. Today, we are witnessing the consequences of removing priests from their rightful place, and it is time for restoration.
During the days of famine in Egypt, Pharaoh took control of the land, yet he did not seize the land belonging to the priests nor remove them from their positions. This demonstrates the high regard Egypt had for its priestly system:
“Only the land of the priests he did not buy, for the priests had an allotment from Pharaoh, and they lived off the allotment which Pharaoh gave them. Therefore, they did not sell their land.” (Genesis 47:22, NASB)
Egypt’s economy remained strong because it maintained and respected the priestly order. In contrast, when Israel neglected its priests, the nation suffered. This is evident in Nehemiah’s time when he sought the priests after rebuilding the city and found them absent from their roles (Nehemiah 13:10-11).
Jesus emphasized the Church’s role as the salt of the earth: “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.” (Matthew 5:13, NKJV)
Salt preserves and transforms culture. When the Church fails to take its rightful place, society remains in turmoil. Historically, education and other institutions were established through the Church, ensuring moral and spiritual guidance. However, as priests have been removed from their positions, corruption has taken root in many systems.
When Israel attempted to bring back the Ark of the Covenant without acknowledging the proper priestly order, judgment fell upon Uzzah (2 Samuel 6:6-7). Only when they recognized the role of the priests were they able to restore the Ark’s place in Israel. This signifies that proper spiritual restoration and national revival require the recognition of priestly leadership.
Today, many who are called to the priestly office—pastors, apostles, and prophets—are occupied with pursuits outside of their divine purpose. Just as in Nehemiah’s time, priests have left their temple duties for other fields, weakening the Church’s spiritual influence.

However, God is calling the priests back. A great wealth transfer is coming—not just to individuals but to the Church as a whole. For this to happen, priests must return to a place of deep fellowship with God. As the priests stand in their rightful place, interceding for nations and leading the Church in righteousness, spiritual and material restoration will follow.
The strength of the Church and the success of nations depend on the recognition of the priestly office. Leaders and governments must acknowledge the importance of spiritual oversight, just as Pharaoh did in Egypt. More importantly, the Church must restore and support its priestly ministry, ensuring that pastors, apostles, and prophets stand in their divine calling.
May God restore the priests to their rightful place, so the Church can experience revival, and nations can prosper under His divine order.
“Then the LORD said to the priests: ‘This commandment is for you… If you do not take it to heart, to give glory to My name, I will send a curse upon you and curse your blessings.’” (Malachi 2:1-2, NKJV)
Let us heed this call and pray for the restoration of the priestly ministry in our time!
