PREMIER Soccer League newbies Sheasham are set to ramp up their preparations for the new season by testing themselves in a friendly match against giants Dynamos at Ascot Stadium in Gweru on Saturday.

The Gweru-based side has been quietly preparing for its maiden season in the elite league, having made 11 new signings.

Head coach John Nyikadzino has bestowed his faith mostly in unheralded players except for the likes of Diego Makurumidze, Tichaona Zota Macheka and goalie Future Sibanda who have topflight experience.

He gets the opportunity to test his unheralded charges against the Harare giants who themselves seem to have assembled a formidable squad. DeMbare have gone under a major overhaul with 13 players being shunted out by new coach Herbert Maruwa.

Maruwa will also get an opportunity to test his squad's readiness having been very active on the transfer market.

The Harare giants parted ways with several senior players including Patson Jaure, Godknows Murwira and Keith Murera.

They made several signings, among them the Moyo twins, Kelvin and Elvis, Arthur Musiyiwa, Keith Madera and Jayden Barake among other players

Nyikadzino, who coached Chapungu in the Premier Soccer League, is raring to give his team exposure against one of the league’s giants.

“We are preparing and so far I am happy with the progress. Hopefully the game will give us a bit of exposure ahead of the season. I’m happy with the team,” Nyikadzino said.
