HISTORY was made in Zimbabwean women's football as the Zimbabwe Women Soccer League adopted its inaugural constitution, marking a significant milestone in the sport.
The landmark document was unanimously approved by member clubs during a ratification meeting at Yadah Hotel in Harare.
All the 11 clubs in attendance unanimously adopted the constitution, paving the way for a new era in women's football.
Apologies were received from Maningi Youth Soccer Academy, Hope Academy, Conduit Soccer Academy, and ZRP Harare Queens, while MSU Queens were absent.
This milestone marks the first-ever Women Soccer League Constitution in Zimbabwe!
At the forefront of this achievement is Iron Lady Theresa Maguraushe, the visionary chairperson who has driven this initiative.
"This is a momentous day for women's football in Zimbabwe," Maguraushe exclaimed.

As part of this development, the league will now be known as the Zimbabwe Women Premier Soccer League (ZWPSL), aligning with the Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) constitution. Key features of the new constitution include the requirement for a female chairperson and a seven-member executive board with no more than three male members, ensuring strong female representation in leadership.
