My Dear People
The acting auditor general’s reports that were availed recently have exposed how the dispensation of poverty, darkness and confusion is infested with shocking levels of corruption.
Despite the repeated declaration by Ngwena that his regime has no tolerance for corruption, graft has almost doubled since Scarfmore was catapulted into power by guns and tanks, which removed Gushungo who was the very epitome of wisdom itself.
The riff-raff that has replaced the telescopically foresighted Gushungo has gone on an orgy of looting with millions of dollars embezzled as exposed by the acting auditor general’s report.
The shameful levels of pilfering range from undelivered goods to an abysmal failure to account for unvouched expenses that has bled the country’s fiscus.
The irony, of course, is that the acting auditor’s general’s report reveals that levels of corruption have nearly doubled at a time when the country not only has the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (Zacc), but also a corruption busting unit that is ensconced right in Scarfmore’s office.
The lack of seriousness by the Lacoste cabal is evident in the inordinate delay of putting in place legislation that protects whistleblowers, who expose corruption in comparison to the breakneck speed at which it amends the constitution to enable the scarfed one to tighten his grip on the country’s judiciary.
Amid these unprecedented levels of malfeasance, Zacc chairperson Michael Reza was frothing at the mouth over the country’s ranking of 149 out of 180 on the global corruption index.
- A president who’s always seeing enemies, detractors is oftentimes the problem
- Zacc fails to account for expenses
- Top lawyer Mpofu in Zacc crosshairs
- Police boss dragged into messy court case

Given the disgraceful levels of corruption exposed by the Auditor General’s Office the ranking on the corruption index might actually be quite conservative.
Last Sunday the scarfed one launched the Gukurahundi outreach programme to investigate the massacre of an estimated 20 000 people in the Midlands and Matabeleland regions in the 1980s, a process of which is likely to be a major farce.
The chiefs, who have been mandated to lead the programme are seriously compromised by the trinkets they get from the Lacoste regime, which include vehicles.
That chiefs who have been at the forefront of frog marching citizens within their jurisdiction to vote for Scarfmore and co during elections, have the mandate of leading the outreach of such a sensitive issue beggars belief.
The misgivings of having chiefs lead this process are not helped by the declaration by Chief Charumbira that they support Scarfmore and Zanu PF in brazen violation of the constitution, which prohibits traditional leaders from supporting any political party.
Charumbira has also been advocating for the media to be barred from covering hearings involving the massacres, which is against the spirit of openness and accountability the process is supposed to foster.
There has even been an abominable attempt to have the media not to use certain words when covering the process.
In any case that an outreach programme is only being launched now six years after Scarfmore revealed his intention to address the massacres, points to a lack of sincerity.
It smacks of a regime just going through the motions in being seen as doing something about it.
The destruction of plaques set up in honour of those who lost their lives during this period only strengthens the belief that the Ngwena regime is paying lip service to the whole issue.
The whole process is set to be a huge failure, which will do absolutely nothing to heal the scars of that dark period.
One has to laugh at the comedy that is unfolding in which Zanu PF structures in the provinces asking Scarfmore to ignore the constitution which limits his term of office to 2028 and extend it to 2030.
Munopenga!!!
This poorly choreographed charade is the reason why the country remains an economic backwater and the scourge of the region.
Instead of focusing on the myriad of problems the country is facing, which includes prolonged power outages that last up to 15 hours, which has crippled the business sector and the effects of a devastating drought, the ruling party is busy fighting to extend the term of office of the octogenarian, who still has four more years to go before his term of office ends as per the supreme law of the land.
That this circus is occurring at a time Scarfmore has said he will abide by the constitution and step down in 2028 only adds to the embarrassment of this tragicomedy.
Those clamouring for Scarfmore to extend his stay in office say he needs more time to complete his vision for the nation which is nothing short of ridiculous.
What does he need to complete with an extra two years that he could not achieve with a decade in office?
If 10 years was not enough for him to achieve this so-called vision, then he has no business being the country’s leader in the first place.
If anything Scarfmore’s abysmal leadership, which includes a failed currency, policy inconsistency, superintending over worsening levels of corruption, prolonged power outages of up to 15 hours and increased poverty makes his mandated term up to 2028 feel like an eternity.
