Health and Fitness movement Musabvunda, which also sells gym and sports wear, has promised fitness enthusiasts and fitness lovers a time of their life at the Musabvunda half marathon and family fun day to be held next Sunday at RBZ Sports Club in Mabelreign, Harare.

The organisation, which is home to all health and fitness enthusiasts, recently held a sold-out Biggest Loser (fat) and Biggest Gainer (muscle) Reveal Party and Elders Council Aerobation at the same venue following a campaign that had various fitness enthusiasts joining the challenge, which started earlier in the year.

Musabvunda CEO Kudzai Pasipanodya told Standard Style that they were expecting a resounding success with the scheduled half marathon and family fun day.

“The Musabvunda movement borders on excellence and productivity and as we continue promoting health and fitness, we are happy to be hosting yet another event come Sunday,” Pasipanodya said.

“The event is a half marathon and family fun day, which is open to all and we are happy with the interest this has generated across the health and fitness sector.”

Pasipanodya said the half marathon and family fun day is open to both adults and kids with other fun lovers also allowed to come and witness the programme.

“The Musabvunda half marathon and family fun day comes with the 1,5km race for kids and for adults we have the 5km, 10km and 21,1km,” he said.

“Tickets cost US$20 and US$5 for non running family members and kids respectively.

“Kids will be catered for while their parents run.

“We have also opened doors for other fun lovers who want to come and witness the event given the programme make up which includes the run, food, music, dance and networking.”

As the Musabvunda movement continues to entrench its footprint and  forge strategic partnerships, Pasipanodya said they were happy with the number of corporates that have signed up for the event as sponsors and participants to the half marathon and family fun day.

“We are a full-scale brand whose existence borders on value creation and a professional approach to health and fitness,” he said.

“Musabvunda is a movement and we are happy with the amount of support we are getting from corporates, fitness players as well as general members of the populace.

“There is no going back on our drive towards a healthier and happier Zimbabwean community.”

Event organiser Tafadzwa Masango said they had ensured a memorable event come Sunday.

“We want the half marathon and family fun day to be a good hangout for all and we have put in place all the necessary logistics to achieve this,” Masango said.

“We have jumping castles for kids as well as other necessary amenities to ensure everyone enjoys a good day out.

“For the runners everything is in place including the police clearance and water points.”

Entertainment at the event will be provided by the police band and Pasipanodya said they had deliberately chosen the outfit to cater for all music lovers.

“In terms of entertainment we have the police band to ensure that we cater for all genres,” he said.

“We want a massive party after the run to ensure a memorable event.

“No one will be left out and we want to encourage all to come to this fitness and fun fiesta.

“Musabvunda is home to all and we are grateful for the support.”

Musabvunda movement is the brainchild of Pasipanodya, a corporate leader and fitness enthusiast, who believes health and wellness is good for personal and national development.

A devout fitness enthusiast, Pasipanodya has participated in other regional events including the Comrades Marathon in South Africa.
