Akieshah Minds drops ‘hot’ EP

Akieshah Minds started music when she was in high school at Billy Rotton.

AFRO-POP artiste Joyleen Madawo popularly known as Akieshah Minds in showbiz circles has released an extended play (EP) titled The Ngurumo Voice.

The EP carries five tracks Sahwira Mukuru, Call Fi Mi, Murume Wangu, Mbavha Yemoyo and My Crush.

She said the message in her music has a large bearing on the way people live.

“The track Sahwira Mukuru talks about why one should not be proud and should learn to take advice from other people,” she said.

She said the EP title Ngulumo Voice was inspired by Panegole from Congo, which simply means that your voice is lightning.

Akieshah Minds started music when she was in high school at Billy Rotton.

“l was in a musical group called Billy Rotton High and l played marimba,” she said.

“After that I also worked with Nishto and Parshon Skepa for some months strengthening my vison and at the same time I also worked with Scorpion Empire and Killer T.”

She said when it comes to criticism she don’t listen to people.

“If l listen to them l will never achieve my goals so I have to focus on my music because the talent is mine so their only job is to listen,” she said.

Aya T produced the EP at Solid Records.

Akieshah Minds has seven singles including Kuchemera Rudo, a hit song that was produced by Cymplex.
