Gospel lovers can expect to be thrilled, amazed and blown away by the lyrics at the upcoming album launch by Dorcas Moyo titled Mvere Dzabvepi?
The long awaited album will be launched in Mutare at Chancellor Junior School on April 27.
The event will feature guest artists such as f, Sulumani Chimbetu, Alick Macheso, Mathias Mhere, and Fenny Kerubo from Kenya.
Moyo said the inspiration behind the title of the forthcoming album Mvere Dzabvepi was derived from the book of Genesis, the story of Jacob and Esau when Esau was duped by Jacob after he masqueraded as his brother.
Moyo highlighted that a track titled Ngaasimudzwe Jesu is her personal favourite from the upcoming album.
The artist is positive that not less than six songs are going to amaze a host of people.
Moyo told Standard style that the new album was complementary of the already existing projects.
“We have reinvigorated and perfected the art in our previous projects. The upcoming project will surely wow most of our admirers. "The lyrics are richer and mind blowing to say the least,” she said.

The gospel artiste said fans should expect a couple of collaborations on the album.
Moyo said she had developed an intimate connection with her listeners and their musical tastes.
“I am confident they are in for yet another treat. The songs are diverse and relatable to all hence, it’s a piece for all,” she said.
Moyo said as an artist she was still learning and growing in her music career.
“I can’t deny that l am growing, but am still far from where l desire to be. The desire to continue growing is what inspires me to dig deeper in order to continue on a growth trajectory,” she said.
“Just like a book, every day is a new chapter and I believe there are a lot of things to be learnt daily. I take a leaf from every situation, be it good or bad there is always a lesson enshrined in every situation.”
Moyo said her message was usually about righteousness and an intricate look into social vices and she hopes her album will impact people’s lives positively.
“The prayer is that the people of Zimbabwe and beyond are spiritually and socially nourished with the piece of art,” she said.
Moyo is one of the nominees from Clima Africa Awards 2024 category Africa Best Female Gospel artist of the year.
