Mai Banda showers Nyasha Mutonhori with praises

Mai Banda is riding high following the recent release of a single titled I Adore You, which features Mutonhori.

United States-based gospel musician Plaxedes Banda, popularly known as Mai Banda in music circles, has described fellow gospel musician Nyasha Mutonhori as a rare talent with attributes that makes her an amazing musician.

Mai Banda is riding high following the recent release of a single titled I Adore You, which features Mutonhori.

The project is accompanied by a video, which is doing well on various online platforms, YouTube.

“Nyasha is a general when it comes to worship music,” Mai Banda said.

“I was honoured to do such project with her.

“I am still shaken that she accepted my offer to work on the project.

“She flavoured it in heavenly way that l could not even explain.

“I don't mind doing another project with her and l just pray this song will go far.”

Mai Banda said she was hoping that the song would allow them to go across the globe ministering the word.

“Nyasha is just a jewel to Zimbabwe and all other nations,” she said.

“I love Nyasha Mutonhori and l love this music project.”

Mai Banda said she has been indebted by calls from her fans following the release of the project.

The visuals of I Adore You were shot in the US and in Zimbabwe.

The song was produced by Wisdom “Wizee” Nyaparami at Limitless Productions.

Douglas Banda, Mai Banda's husband, was the executive producer.

Mai Banda said the song was all about worship with emphasis on praising the Almighty.

“The song’s title is I Adore You and I am acknowledging His Majesty, all glory and honour belongs to him God, the maker of heaven and earth,” she said.

The US-based musician said she was eager to do more collaborations with local artistes regardless of their choice of music.

She said she was recently in the studio with Baba Harare for a new project to be released soon.

Late last year Mai Banda did a project titled Moyo Wangu with Zimdancehall sensation Jah Master.

“I am going to work with a lot of local talent including choirs from different denominations,” she said.

“I have always wanted to diversify my music and I am actually enjoying the process.”
