Kambo Boys, which is made up of Tonderai “Maheu” Nembaware and Simbarashe Mupfudze, is determined to add an international flavour to sungura music as evidenced in their previous projects.

Mupfudze confirmed the release of the much-awaited album in an exclusive interview with Standard Style.

“This is our debut album, following the release of several singles and a singles compilation album,” he said.

“The album is titled Tahwinha, featuring five tracks and it was produced by Clive “Mono” Mukundu at Monolio Studio in Harare.”

“We can't wait to share our passion and creativity with you all. Get ready to dive into a collection of tracks that tell our story and inspire your journey. Thank you for your unwavering support!”

Kambo Boys was formed in 2014 in Ipswich Town in the UK by Mupfudze and Nembaware who from 2006 to 2013 were in an acapella group of six guys.

The group was also nominated for two Zimbabwe music and arts awards for the song Melo, which also got a lot of airplay on regional television channel Trace Africa.
