POPULAR artists have teamed-up in fabricating a 12 track Afrotech /Afrohouse music album themed House Always Wins, a masterpiece intended to make a difference in the industry glorifying sex and drugs.
This development comes after Bramwell Ndlovu, popularly known as Dj Jabs and Da Grooveman in collaboration with Lynden Lungu, Ntu2kay, Butholezwe Ntini, Mj Sings, Vuyo Brown and Amara Brown observed a rise in divorce cases, hence, encouraging listeners to stick together, amongst other moulding intentions.
Speaking to Newsday Life & Style, Ndlovu said they embarked on the project with the intention of bringing hope, love, helping each other, and motivation in the society that has normalised music being about sex, divorces and drug abuse.
“Our album is meant to inspire, build, mould, comfort and entertain all in one. We embarked on this project with the intention of making a difference in society. These days music is about or glorifies sex, drugs etc. we decided we will give people music that speaks to them and is relevant to life situations,” Ndlovu said.
Ndlovu continued to say, Pfugama unamate encourages one to pray and trust in the Lord when the going gets tough; Batidzai mwenje, a question as well as a cry to God to shine a light on one’s life; Konke kuzolunga is an assurance that all chapters come to an end so this too shall pass; Sofa Silahlane, till death do us part, in a world full of divorces, this encourages sticking together.”
The music targets all audiences irrespective of gender, age, ethnicity, language which the whole country and world would enjoy, thereby using the two main languages in the country.
“The president also inspired the use of different languages, we have seen him do his best to accommodate everyone in Zimbabwe by addressing the people in each region in their language, so we followed suit. Music unites so we would love to see our country united in through music,” said Ndlovu.
