Chiwenga's wife nominated for African award

Continuing her journey of excellence, Baloyi-Chiwenga has recently been honoured with the Outstanding Woman of the Year title at the 2024 Megafest Awards.

Businesswoman and wife of Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga, Minnie Baloyi-Chiwenga has been nominated for the prestigious Emerging Brands in Africa Awards.

The nominations follows Baloyi-Chiwenga's triblazing efforts with Style By Minnie, a fashion and cosmetics and its subsidiaries where she serves as the chief executive officer.

"As a trailblazing entrepreneur and industry leader, Minnie has made significant strides in Zimbabwe's fashion and cosmetics industry. Her remarkable achievements include being awarded Business Woman of the Year at the 2018 Zimbabwe National Woman Awards and Business Person of the Year in the Fashion and Cosmetics Industry at the 2022 Zimbabwe Business Awards," reads a statement.

Continuing her journey of excellence, Baloyi-Chiwenga has recently been honoured with the Outstanding Woman of the Year title at the 2024 Megafest Awards.

Beyond her impressive business accomplishments, Baloyi-Chiwenga has taken her passion for empowering women to the next level by serving as the chairperson of Miss Universe Zimbabwe.

"Minnie's unwavering dedication, innovative thinking, and commitment to inspiring the next generation have solidified her position as a beacon of hope and an icon in the industry. As she continues to make waves across Africa, we take this opportunity to acknowledge her outstanding contributions to the fashion and beauty landscape," further reads the statement.

"We are honoured to have Minnie as a nominee for the Emerging Brands in Africa Awards, and we look forward to witnessing her continued success and growth.”

The Emerging Brands in Africa Awards is an event that recognises and celebrates innovative brands across various sectors in Africa, aiming to highlight and support rising businesses on the continent; the awards are currently scheduled to be held in Harare, Zimbabwe on March.

Other nominees include TV producer Monalisa Chisango, South African Samu Pocho, for the Beverages category, media personality Nicole Jamu, among others.
