Nakamba continues to impress

Marvelous Nakamba

WARRIORS midfield enforcer Marvellous Nakamba continues to scale great heights at England Championship side Luton.

Nakamba has been in the books of Luton since he moved in the January transfer window when he was loaned to the club by Aston Villa.

The 29-year-old was on the bench on 10 occasions for Aston Villa in the first half of the season, subsequently falling out of Unai Emery’s favour.

However, fortunes have changed as he has already impressed Luton boss Rob Edwards, who described him as a “Duracell battery” after his first start for the Hatters.

And the Bantu Rovers product continues to charm Luton Town faithfuls with some dominant performances for the team.

He was on parade when Luton Town won 2-0 over Watford in the first derby in front of their supporters at Kenilworth Road for 17 years.

Against Watford the midfielder had the highest rating in the midfield for Luton Town FC.

He won most ground duels he was involved in and had over 83% passing accuracy.

And club fans are buzzing as the team is yet to concede two goals from open play in the last 13 games, which has been attributed to Nakamba’s effectiveness.

According to the club, Nakamba made 10 tackles in the win over Watford, which no player has managed in a Championship match this season.

Luton Town supporters have been impressed by Nakamba, who they have constantly described as “classy” and “powerful” since his first outing in a Luton shirt against Stoke City.

Undoubtedly the Warriors midfielder is enjoying himself despite taking a status downgrade through the loan move to English Championship side Luton Town.
