Zim couple finally get married after 19 years together in UK

Despite getting married traditionally in 2005, the couple decided to exchange nuptials, thanks to the support from the Faith Tabernacle Church based in Banbury.

When Daniso Ndhlovu Kazunguzeni and Rumbidzai Emma Musekiwa met for the first time in Aylesbury Buckinghamshire in South East England in 2004, they both felt an instant connection to one another and the rest is history.

They have been a couple ever since - and are parents to two children - but only last weekend they decided to “make it official”.

Despite getting married traditionally in 2005, the couple decided to exchange nuptials, thanks to the support from the Faith Tabernacle Church based in Banbury.

Last Saturday, Daniso and Rumbidzai had a wedded bliss at the four-star Windmill Village Hotel Golf & Spa in Coventry.

Zimbabwean comedian The Comic Pastor was the master of ceremony while rapper Desmond Chidema, aka Stunner provided entertainment at the wedding that was organised by popular UK events planner and designer Lorraine Makanidzana of Penny Events Décor.

“We got married traditionally in 2005 and our first son Ben, was born in May 2006,” said Daniso.

“We were then blessed with a beautiful daughter Kelcie in 2010 and we have never looked back since then and now after 19 years of living together we have become even closer and we are grateful for life and we value the importance of having each other around.

“As a family we pray together and attend regular church services. We have now found a new family which is an addition to us at Faith Tabernacle Church based in Banbury.

“By attending church and getting regular sessions on the importance of union and marriage, we decided that it was time after 19 years of being together to get married legally. We feel blessed and we are best friends!”
