Weekend treat for music lovers

THE weekend is lined up with fun and activities for music lovers with live performances spread across the country. The Aquatic Complex in Chitungwiza will host Zim Giants tomorrow where fans will be treated to a unique musical experience by sungura maestro Alick Macheso, Jah Prayzah, afro fusion songbird Feli Nandi, Zimdancehall chanter Freeman, Enzo Ishall and Holy Ten.

Marondera will host Zim Hiphop versus Zim dancehall Summer Mash Up at Pagomo Roundabout Garden tomorrow featuring Voltz Jt, Uncle Epatan, Bling 4, Chillspot family among others.

Sulumani Chimbetu, supported by Andy Muridzo, will treat dendera music lovers to the dendera experience at the Harare International Conference Centre tomorrow.

Belgravia Sports Club will host the Culture Festival on Saturday with Jah Prayzah, Enzo Ishall, ShaSha, South African singer and dancer Kamo Mphela, Aymos, Lady Du, Black Diamond, Emtee and Nadia Nakai. On the turntables will be Dj Kingher and Dj Tamuka.

Sherwood Golf Club will host Selmor Mtukudzi in a live solo concert dubbed “Celebrating Selmor 4.0” on Saturday while Sulumani will be performing at the Nyanga Arts Festival the same day.

The Eastern Highlands will have Voltz Jt and Master H performing at the Spring fest on Saturday at Mutare Motoring Sports Club while mbira princess Hope Masike will be at Lendy Park School in Marondera for a family fun day with music from Lendy Park marimba and Watershed College.

As the weekend comes to an end, Club 100 will host Zimdancehall artist Bazooker on Sunday at Westlea shopping centre.
