A group of investors from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) arrived in Harare last night to explore various opportunities across key sectors including housing and agriculture.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa met with some of the investors during his recent trip to the United Arab Emirates.

Their visit is a follow-up to that tour.

The Ploutus team stated that they have come to carry out some of the initiatives that were previously discussed in Dubai.

"We are here to try to collaborate and invest in your country on some projects, which include railways, low-cost housing, and some other things,” One of the investors, Luis Vega.

“We understand that the drought has left a devastating impact.

“So, what we would like to do is to reallocate some of the logistics from our companies to come into the country and provide much-needed aid.”

Special Presidential Investment Advisor Paul Tungwarara who is leading the delegation expressed optimism about potential investments."They are keen on investing in various sectors, and we are excited to showcase the opportunities available in Zimbabwe," he said.Legislator and CAPS football owner Farai Jere who was part of the delegation said the government's  re-engagement and engagement drive is bearing fruits.
