Residents receive free health services

Councillor Dumisani Nkomo said they had roped in specialists to provide free medical services to the residents.

Bulawayo’s ward 5 residents are receiving free medical attention through a health-expo coordinated by their councillor in partnership with an Adventist church-based initiative called Health Restore.

The health expo is targeting mainly the vulnerable.

Councillor Dumisani Nkomo said they had roped in specialists to provide free medical services to the residents.

“Health Restore will provide free services with general practitioners, physiotherapists, dentists and opticians for the health services roll out,” Nkomo said.

“This ward has a high number of pensioners and unemployed youths, who cannot afford health services.”

Some ordinary Zimbabweans are turning to traditional healers as they cannot afford fees charged by public and private hospitals.
