DeMbare import promises happy days

Dynamos’ new Ghanaian import Frank Agyemang has assured the team's legion of fans that fortunes will change this season.

DeMbare last won the league title ten years ago and the search continues this term.

The 21-year-old said he was happy with the welcome he received at Dynamos and wants to repay the Premier Soccer League giants with a good show.

“I feel very happy and excited for signing for such a big club. The welcome was massive. What is now left is for me to repay the club for the faith they have placed in me,” said Agyemang.

Agyemang who featured for Pacific Fuels in the Ghanaian First Division has signed a three-year contract with the Harare giants that will take him up to 2028.

Those who have seen Agyemang in action predict that he will prove a massive addition to the club which has lost a whole host of players from last season.

“I have seen him play. His sideway dribbles and knack for goal are something I have not seen for years. Given enough support, I think he will be the saviour we have been waiting for, for years,” staunch Dynamos supporter Adomso Mukwasi said.

Agyemang added that he is here to try to make the Dynamos family happy.

“I am a striker and my duty is to score goals. Dynamos should expect goals from me,” he promised.

The Ghanaian is among Dynamos new recruits for the 2025 soccer season and joins the likes of Farai Mutatu who is coming from LA Galaxy from the Major League Soccer in the USA,  Trevor Bhunu from Golden Eagles and Mandivhei from Yadah.

The 1998 Caf Champion League finalists have also appointed Lloyd Chigove as their substantive coach with Mark Mathe coming in as assistant and Ronald Sibanda as team manager.

Agyemang, who has been in Zimbabwe for some months, said he was impressed by the standards of Zimbabwean football concluding that it was better than in his homeland.

“The standards are good. The crowds are big. I hope I will enjoy playing here,” concluded Agyemang.

The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League are still to announce when the season will kick off.
