CAPS United are looking forward to the 2025 season with optimism after they managed to retain the bulk of the players they had from last season.
The Harare giants are quietly preparing for the upcoming season and have chosen continuity over total rebuilding after retaining the core of the squad they had in the ranks last season.
They lost defender Godknows Murwira, midfielder Kingsley Mureremba, goalkeeper Tonderai Mateyaunga and striker Lot Chiwunga.
Murwira and Mureremba were snapped up by big spending Scottland while Mateyaunga is now at Simba Bhora with Chiunga joining Herentals.
The Green Machine have replenished with Harmony Nare, Tanaka Shandirwa, and Kundai Benyu among others.
They have already made their mark during the pre-season training.
Crucially, this season Caps United will hope to turn around their fortunes having been a pale shadow of themselves in recent seasons.
Assistant coach Tonderai Marume is upbeat as he is impressed by how the team has fared in pre-season. Marume is particularly happy that they retained the backbone of their squad.

" The players came back the way they have been training, l think us as the technical team we are satisfied with the efforts they are putting on training
"And since you all know that pre-season is the most part of the season where players have to be prepared for the competitions.
"We are happy that we have managed to bring everyone who is suppossed to be here and l think its going to be an exciting season for Caps United," he said.
Marume said they are not planning on having many friendly matches as they look to test themselves in the eight team tournament to be hosted by the City of Harare this month.
"We are not going to play so many friendly games and since this tournament is for eight team, we are not yet sure of how its going to be formulated.
"The number of games we are going to play in that tournament will dertemime where we are as a team. We are grateful to the city of Harare for organising this tournament which we will use as a yardstick for us," Marume added.
