TELONE kept their good home record intact after forcing a share of spoils with Highlanders FC in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match played at Ascot stadium yesterday.
Milton Chimedza and Reason Sibanda were on target for TelOne and Highlanders FC respectively. It was a match, the Wifi Boys could have easily won had they converted their numerouds chances in the first half.
However TelOne FC coach Herbert Maruwa was satisfied with the result, especially that they kept their unbeaten home record intact.
"It was a tough match and I believe we could have won it had we converted our chances. It's good for us, that we have managed to stop stiff competition at home.
"I am happy that every match has lessons and we will improve. This is a growing team and we are hoping to continue improving," Maruwa said.
Though they picked a point on the road, Highlanders coach Kelvin Kaindu is still concerned with how they are conceding.

"We are doing well and this is a team that has been improving by each game, but I am concerned with how we are conceding.
"These are soft goals and I hope we are going to improve by each game. As a coach I hope this will be a least of concerns as the season goes on," Kaindu said.
The match started on a pulsating pace with action swinging from one end to the other. TelOne, though had clearer chances in the first 15 minutes, with Washington Navaya and Tawanda Macheke coming close.
They deservedly took the lead after 27 minutes via a Chimedza tap-in. Highlanders have themselves to blame for failing to clear their lines on what seemed to be a hapless cross from Gerald Bero.
But Bosso turned their screws after the half hour mark, and they restored parity via Reason Sibanda who weaved past two TelOne defenders before sliding the ball past Criss Mverechena.
Bosso's returned from the break with a lot of energy and Brighton Ncube got their best chance on the 50th minute after breaking loose, but his final effort was tame.
