NAMA win boosts Kinah’s confidence

Kinah was nominated against the highly tipped Hiphop star Bagga.

KINAH-The Music has expressed a renewed sense of confidence since emerging as the outstanding newcomer at the recent National Arts Merit Awards(NAMA) held in Bulawayo.

He was nominated against the highly tipped Hiphop star Bagga.

The multi talented muso told Standard Style that he appreciates the growth of his audience.

“Well, the NAMA win has boosted my confidence and as well added a couple of eyes and ears to my singing career as most people, especially from my city know me as a session guitarist, I am geared to collect more awards not only in music and locally, but internationally as well due to collaborations and from writing scores of movies and theatre productions”

He also explained his status as not having a particular identity as a singer.

“Currently I identify myself as a singer and musician, locally I will give an example of Mzizi a South African guitarist and artist though in future I see myself playing less in band setups unless being featured and focusing on doing my own works. I just dropped a brand new single titled R.O.O.T which is an acronym for 'ran out of time', which speaks on how we get the opportunity to sort out issues in relationships before things get worse, but failure to do it in time will result in losing that relationship,” he said.

Kinah-The Music also hinted about good jams in the near future.

“On that note I will be releasing more music as the year progresses and doing more visuals and embarking on programmes that will help benefit my community digitally and physically.," he said.

"Lastly I’d like to say thank you again to the support I’ve been getting and hoping to see it grow more as time progresses and watch out for more from Kinah-The Music.”
