FRESH off being gifted with a brand new posh car by Zanu PF loyalist Wicknell Chivayo, Jah Master and Bulawayo based musician and dancer Mr Grey have extended their gratitude and thanks to God.
On Independence Day, the duo released a new song dubbed Thank You Lord, which came out just a week after Jah Master received his Mercedes Benz.
The song was produced in Bulawayo by Just Percie, with the video also done in Bulawayo at the Bulawayo Club.
Jah Master said the song is meant to praise and thank Jesus.
“The song is about thanking the Lord for everything that God has done to you. The blessing of living is underrated but it’s one of the most important blessings that we have. I want everyone who listens to the song and followers to thank the Lord, Jesus,” he said in a social media post.
Mr Grey concurred with Jah Master’s assertion.
“It’s a feel good song where we thank the creator God and our saviour Jesus Christ for the blessings in life. We have come this far in life and music due to Jesus’ covering and we can’t repay all that, but we can just thank him and the best we can do is to do a song.
“We thank everyone, who took part in the production and I also thank Jah Master for featuring me on the song. It’s always a vibe working with him. We promise more productions to come,” he said.

Chivayo said he gifted the car to Jah Master for his hit song Hello Mwari, and went on to praise Jah Master for his unwavering commitment and persistence in participating in Zanu PF rallies. He admired how, on numerous occasions, Jah Master took the stage, braving the cold without a shirt, wearing only shorts and a cross belt to uphold his distinctive style.
“Your consistency and dedication in attending our Zanu PF rallies can never be forgotten,” Chivayo said.
“On so many occasions, you had to go on stage in the cold without a shirt, in your shorts and cross belts to maintain your signature outfit and keep the record-breaking massive crowds rocking.
“These re our same supporters that voted in masses resulting in our inevitable clean victory.”
Mr Grey, who features on Thank You Lord, has also been active on Zanu PF related events such as musical galas.
“I hail the return of the national galas as it offers artists an opportunity to showcase their talents. I have become popular and pushed my music to every corner of the country through the musical galas. I thank the government for this wonderful project and also I thank everyone stakeholders such as Wicknell Chivayo who are supporting artists,” he said.
