HERENTALS.......................(2)
BLACK RHINOS..................(0)1
HERENTALS bounced back to winning ways after dispatching strugglers Black Rhinos 2-1 in a Castle Lager Premier League match played at Mandava stadium yesterday.
First half goals from Edgar Mhungu and Stanley Murove were enough to earn the Students maximum points. Valentine Katsande scored Black Rhinos' consolation goal in the 86th minute.
Having lost their last match at the hands of ZPC Kariba, Herentals came good at their adopted Zvishavane home.
They surged ahead as early as the 11th minute, through seasoned attacker Edgar Mhungu who scored with a powerful shot from close range.
The Students were relentless, and could have struck two more goals in 20 minutes but Mhungu and Prince Chama missed glorious opportunities.
Stanley Murove doubled their scores in 28 minutes, putting Herentals in firm control of the affair. Black Rhinos also had their chances, but they failed to convert on several occasions.

The army-side remains bottom of the PSL pile, with 17 points on their tally, as their chances of surviving relegation become slimmer as each game goes by. Herentals gaffer Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva was on cloud nine after the win.
"We needed the win. I'm happy the team responded well after the unfortunate incidents last weekend," he said.
"We lost the match and this one brings us back on track. It's the same spirit that we we have always carried. Black Rhinos fought, but it was not their day. I'm happy for the team, congratulations to us,"he added.
His counterpart Saul Chaminuka cut a sombre figure seeing his team slowly glide into oblivion.
"It's disappointing. We tried everything but still failed to get the results we needed. It's too early to quit," Chaminuka said
"But I have to admit that there is still a lot of work that needs to be done. I think our body language wasn't as good as we wanted. I take the blame but I will push to get better results in the coming games."
